With its 168 meters and 46 floors, The Eurovea Tower is the tallest building and the first skyscraper in Slovakia. It has a slender silhouette and a strategic location near the Apollo Bridge, outside the dense downtown. Thus, it acts as a natural visual landmark between the historic center and the new zones on the right bank of the Danube.
The ground plan footprint in the shape of a rounded triangle responds to the main urban axes of the area – the Čulenova Street and the waterfront promenade. The rounded corners maximize the views, which are an integral part of the residential concept. The architecture is dominated by elegant verticalism – the facade is divided by the texture of loggias and facing strips adding the tower dynamics and mitigate the effect of the wind. From the 38th floor, the mass narrows and culminates in a tiara of raised facade ribs. At the ground floor level, there is a distinct motif of stability and anchorage – massive concrete columns in the shape of the V letter.
Architecturally and technically, the project represents current standards of high-rise construction – the aerodynamics were verified by wind tunnel tests, and the statics were checked by several independent teams. The tower stands on a three-meter-thick raft foundation, supported by more than a hundred piles. The concept also includes the reconstruction of the Pribinova Street and the creation of a metropolitan boulevard connecting the residence with the public space and the Danube river.
